Friday 3/21

We Fit Together:

M-F A daily variety of Inclusive and Diverse books and genres will be shared in each class, followed by thoughtful BHH classroom connections and discussion. Each class will fill in a Genre Dot Chart with the variety of the diverse genres the students record on their at-home reading logs! Check out our student-designed puzzle pieces in the Showcase and see how all our Robertson Raptors fit together!

Monday 3/24

Empathy and Kindness: Speech bubbles will be posted for each class K-5 student to write a positive quote or message to your Robertson family.

 Photo opportunity:  You can take a photo of your child at morning recess or after school. Stand up in the middle of our banner and “Be the I in kind.” Located near the back door of the gym. 

• WEAR a hat or shirt with a positive message today!

Tuesday 3/25

Embracing Similarities & Celebrating Differences in  Words                  

Expanding schoolwide knowledge of vocabulary or high-frequency/sight words during an in-class project. Creative student word knowledge, artwork, and sentences will be displayed for all to learn from.

Wednesday 3/26

We RiSE by Lifting Others on Conversation Day!     

Say hi to someone you know or don’t know. First, ask their name, tell them yours. Practice this at home. Next, take 3-4 minutes to have an engaging conversation! Golden tickets will be used to show you are lifting uP others with words when you compliment and/or have a caring conversation. You and the person you talk with both need to sign the same golden ticket for a chance to win a raffle prize in each classroom!.

• Bring or wear a conversation starter- your favorite outfit, color, sports team, hairdo, shoes, book, photo, etc.

Thursday 3/27

Equality, Diversity, Inclusion It’s more fun when we read together!                                                                                                                                                          

• Bring your favorite stuffed animal or cozy blanket and read books that have an inclusive reading theme

Culminating Inclusive School-Wide Pic Including everyone in the shape of a rainbow to represent the change you wish to see in the world. 👚🌈👕
